About Lymphedema Management

Relieve swelling and restore comfort

Lymphedema is a chronic condition when there’s abnormal swelling in the arms or legs. This is because there’s a buildup of lymph fluid. This happens when the lymphatic system, responsible for draining excess fluid from tissues, is blocked or does not function optimally.

Lipedema, on the other hand, is a chronic condition that causes swelling of the limbs caused by an abnormal fat accumulation in those body parts.

What is the lymphatic system?

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels, nodes, and organs in the body that move and filter lymph fluid throughout the body.

At Salt and Sage Therapy, our therapists offer expert care to manage symptoms, as well as manual lymphatic drainage therapy and lipedema treatment to reduce fluid build-up, abnormal fat accumulation, fibroses and help you feel more in control of your body.
